Giving Back
Why we give
At Soundgas we believe that business is not just about making a living: it should be a force for good in the world. We have a responsibility to use our success to benefit others. We aim to give to charities that provide meaningful help to those who need it most, both in the UK and the Global South.
As a rural employer, we provide training and meaningful careers for young (and not so young) people; a responsibility we take very seriously. Training the next generation of technicians is also a major part of Soundgas’ mission: not only does this ensure that the vintage gear we use and love will remain viable well into the future, but it also creates long-term careers for those we train.
How we give
We donate on a monthly basis to the following charities:
MAP Charity – an incredible organisation based up the road from us in Leeds. As an alternative education provider working with young people who are unable to access the mainstream school system they use music among other things to radically improve the lives of those they have through their doors.
Centrepoint – From housing and health to learning and engagement, they aim to help vulnerable young people move on from homelessness and build a future they can believe in.
Charity: Water – a non-profit bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in the Global South / Majority World.
