Product Description
Teac Tascam Series Model 3 for sale. Essentially a smaller Model 5.
Eight channel mixing desk serviced and working well. Has plenty of useful features including a flexible 2-band EQ, Tamura transformers and inductors in every channel and direct outputs per channel so you can use them as a preamp. Overdrive on these is great, and routing a signal through two channels in series effectively gives you a 4 band EQ as well.
This mixer is supplied serviced. All sliders and connections are currently working well. Some crackle can develop, especially with lack of use. This should clear with use or with some switch cleaning spray (we recommend DeOxit).
Below is the introduction from the manual (taken from HiFiEngine.com where you can find the full manual - registration is free):
Fulfilling the needs of people with more talent than money is the fundamental premise on which TEAC Tascam Series recording gear is built.
So we designed the Model 3 to be as versatile as possible. With the right combination of features and functions for home or studio recording, PA or disco mixing.
The Model 3 just about does it all. You'll find it a surprisingly functional mixer.
It is manufactured in our professional products division, and incorporates the same design philosophy as the highly successful TEAC Tascam Series Model 10 mixing console.
Many of the parts, circuits, and production assembly procedures are the same.
Also, the design alternatives that were chosen for cost purposes were exhaustively researched and tested to avoid any compromise in performance.
