Product Description
Selling on behalf of Matthew Herbert. This mic was bought for the recording of his latest Big Band project and used for recordings in five European cities for the album "The State Between Us". The whole band was recorded primarily using six of these microphones in the room. The quality of the recordings is a testament to the quality of the mics (as is the fact that Matthew selected them for the job in the first place!).

The Sontronics Apollo 2 is an active stereo ribbon microphone designed to be used as an overhead or room microphone.
The Sontronics Apollo 2 uses two highly sensitive ribbons mounted in a Blumlein configuration for stereo miking. Each element can also be used on their own for mono operations. It delivers open top-end with surprising clarity as well as deep and full sound. Active in design, the Apollo 2 uses a phantom power circuit and custom-wound UK-made transformers allowing it to be used with very little gain.
