Moog Minimoog Model D 1973 *Mint*

Stunning 1973 Minimoog for sale fully-serviced/overhauled. This is a pre-order listing – servicing should be completed by mid-October.

It’s in staggering condition with no significant cosmetic issues at all. It appears to be as new a vintage Minimoog as you could hope for. The story is that the original owner bought it having left the navy in the early 70s, played it at home for a brief period of time and then put it away before passing away some years ago. It was discovered recently in the loft of his house, required some cleaning, but was essentially unmarked and as-new. We shipped it over from the USA and are now attending to the servicing of the electronics and keybed.

The keys will be re-bushed, octave buffer board fitted, power supply recapped, plus whatever else is necessary to make this vintage Mini perform as well as is possible. The end result should be the best example of an early Minimoog we’ve found.

We always look for Minis with the original oscillator board installed as we much prefer the sound – fitting an octave buffer board improves stability significantly; we’ve had a few early Minis with later osc boards and found them less engaging sonically.
