HAWK HR-20 ECHO UNIT
HAWK HR-20 ECHO UNIT
Brand: Hawk
Sorry it's gone. We may have another in stock or on the way. Please enquire below (or check our weekly Gear Update for incoming rarities).
A high quality Japanese spring reverb – a HR-20 for sale serviced and in great working order.
This is a mono version of the Hawk HR-202. Single quarter inch input socket on the front and RCA phone inputs/outputs on the rear. Select between Phono, Mic Lo and Mic Hi for the input depending on how much distortion you want to dial in - small backlit meter with simple Level and Echo Volume controls, this is an ease of use unit. It overdrives wonderfully and has a sound of its own, leaving me pondering whether we could get away with keeping one of each in the studio.
We landed a selection of these vintage Japanese machines recently – read all about them in our Hawk/Mirano tape echo and spring reverb blog post.
Condition - Very good overall condition, serviced and working well, minor scuffs and scratches to finish - small patch of scratching to aluminium front.
Price includes VAT at 20% (for sales in UK/EU) - buyers outside the EU please contact us for tax-free prices. VAT-free sales possible to businesses and individuals in the EU with a valid VAT Number.
100v Japanese model – it should work fine on North American mains 110/115v without a transformer, but you should check your local mains voltage first - please ask us if you have any questions. A step-down transformer can be used in the UK/EU. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made transformer if required.

“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”

“Imagine the perfect eBay.... with everything you never knew you wanted… and you can rest assured that your vintage and rare wobbly sound device will turn up on time and in one piece and possibly in even better condition that when it left the workshop. Soundgas - literally amazing."
