Product Description
1960s Univox Uni-vibe (made by Shin-ei) for sale.
Working well and sounding great. Speed pot works backwards (see tech report below).
This came to us having been "worked on" elsewhere but it has now been serviced and as well as working well, it has been returned to as close to original condition as possible by our tech. See report below for details. No pedal included.
Tech Report:
New fuseholder and fuse
Replace speed control pot (250k log stereo, vintage part)
New mains cable and strain relief, ground chassis
Fit vintage input socket, replace input carbon composition resistors
Reinstate DIN footswitch socket
Notes: In pretty good shape, though it had been a little messed around with. Someone had fitted a 100k speed pot, but it should be 250k. Luckily I had one vintage stereo one left but this is wired so that anticlockwise is fast – there’s not really an alternative as we can’t get antilog stereo 250k pots. Someone had also fitted a shiny new jack socket which looked awful, so a vintage one fitted here. They had also disconnected the DIN socket for some reason; this now reinstated so if anyone is lucky enough to find the original foot controller this should work.
