I never get tired of the weird sounds you can get from an EMS - Synthi. The filter sounds have their own unique character.

I have been waiting for this pedal (not the pre-order wait---the existential wait) for many years. I had been eyeing all of the glowing reviews of the Type 636 preamp pedal, wondering could this be the upper register bass distortion that I’ve been searching for? But bc of the cost+tariffs, I’ve had to hold off. Enter the Type G. I put down my preorder $ in the middle of the night, and in the morning over coffee, broke the news to the misses. She said: “what’s do you think this is gonna do?...My reply: ”I predict the Type G is gonna give me the hard to find upper register harmonic distortion on the D & more specifically G string, which will alleviate the dreaded pingy-ness that you know I hate babe.” “You gonna run it through your 64 B-15?” “Yea babe.” “You think it will pair well with your 1968 Comp Burgundy Mustang bass with Labella flats played with a pick?” “How could it not babe?”

The results were better than expected. I retained all those woody, tight lows I'm looking for on the E & A string. The Type G isn’t overly activated by them. Then, as I head up to the D string, the magic begins. Once I get to the G string, it all happens: that sympathetic, musical distortion, tone with tooth. It's the sound I've had in my head for a very long time, and it's here. It has changed how I interact with the instrument. It is in the front of my signal chain, and I'm getting significantly better sound out of my other pedals when it's on as well. Not for nothing, my ’67 harmony H-74 with gold foils gets dirtied-up real nice by it. What more can you say?

I managed to get a Weaver from the last batch via Soundgas and have been having a blast with it.
Feeding it shortwave stations and then dialing into the alien/space-dub radio stations it spits out is such fun..
Linking it to my Music Thing Modular Workshop System (with a Goldfish program card) and bouncing the results back and forth is Quite Epically Odd.

It's an inspiring little audio capture device in a visually intriguing and high quality package that suits it's output perfectly.
Cool graphics, impeccable enclosure and the Erica Synth style knob is spot on... and that flickering colour changing light is ace.

Had some fun experimenting with these samples they fit great in electronic Dub music

Never purchased samples before, I'm just starting my home recording adventure, just a guy and his Shakuhachi trying to discover new aural expressions. The samples are clear & well recorded, definitely fitting my vibe. Already tweaked one to add background texture to a recording by running it a low volume in the background. This pack has certainly got wanting to experiment more.

I already have the standalone version and I love it. Now with the eurorack version, I have even more fun with it! The modulation possibilities make it even more interesting and the three volume knobs allow for more control. 100% recommend

If you’ve used the pedal sized one previously it’s that but now with extra added inputs & outputs.
You can trigger recording via the inbuilt mic or input, twiddle the big knob with cv, clock it for perfect percussive weirdness and now you have more control over the audio output with separate volume controls for 3 different varieties of processing algorithm. Best bit is each of these now produce triggers to be sent to sequencers, envelopes or whatever you want for beautiful, interesting random wonderfulness whether you’re taking audio out or not. Brilliant.

I already owned the original Weaver and loved it, so I had to get the module version. It's better still, with the trig outs (wonderfully bright LEDs, too!) and mixer area for the three elements of the audio outputs. It adds so much life when you start thinking about how it can spread its "alive" feeling across multiple modules in a patch.
