Product Description

Teac Tascam Series Model 3 for sale. Essentially a smaller Model 5.

Eight channel mixing desk serviced and working well. Has plenty of useful features including a flexible 2-band EQ, Tamura transformers and inductors in every channel and direct outputs per channel so you can use them as a preamp.

This mixer has been serviced and all sliders and connections are currently working well. Some crackle can develop, especially with lack of use. This should clear with use or with some switch cleaning spray (we recommend DeOxit).

Below is the introduction from the manual (taken from HiFiEngine.com where you can find the full manual - registration is free):

Fulfilling the needs of people with more talent than money is the fundamental premise on which TEAC Tascam Series recording gear is built.

So we designed the Model 3 to be as versatile as possible. With the right combination of features and functions for home or studio recording, PA or disco mixing.

The Model 3 just about does it all. You'll find it a surprisingly functional mixer.

It is manufactured in our professional products division, and incorporates the same design philosophy as the highly successful TEAC Tascam Series Model 10 mixing console.

Many of the parts, circuits, and production assembly procedures are the same.

Also, the design alternatives that were chosen for cost purposes were exhaustively researched and tested to avoid any compromise in performance.

Condition

Very good overall. Japanese stickers can be removed before shipping if the buyer requires. It has some scuffs and signs of use but these are minor. All knobs, faders and switched are intact. There is some oxidation to the top edge above the meters (pictured). Woodwork is good. See photos for more information.

Voltage Information

100v Japanese model. For customers on 220/240v supplies we will supply a high quality step-down transformer free of charge with your purchase - let us know if this is not required. On North American mains (115/120v supplies) this unit will run without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use. We do not recommend using cheap, generic Chinese mains transformers - please ask if you have any questions about powering this unit.

Tax

For sales in UK/EU the price will include 20% VAT. If you have an EU VAT number (outside the UK) you can enter it at check out to have VAT removed.
