Product Description
Synton Fenix III sequencer for sale. One of only 25 ever made, just over 10 years ago. Designed to be the ultimate analogue sequencer.
Packing three channels of sixteen step sequences, with two sets of CV and gate patterns available on channel A, and a wealth of other modules for generating control voltages, gates, and triggers, the Fenix 3 is a true power house of possibilities. Modulation and manipulation of sequences - or indeed any external voltages - in many different ways is easy thanks to five attenuators, a clock divider, and an abundance of inputs and utilities.

Overview:
- Comprises three main CV/Gate sequencers plus a 4th expander sequencer.
- CV Sequencers are labeled: C1, B1, A1 (blue knobs), and A2 (red knobs) — the latter being an expander.
- Can produce CV voltages ranging from 0 to 8 volts.
- Offers clocking through the master clock, external MIDI, or external CV.
Quick Glance at Functionality:
- CV Sequencers (B1, C1, A1, and A2):
- Operate standard 16 step sequencing (B1, C1, A1).
- Modes: Forward, ping-pong, and random.
- A2 acts as an expander for A1, offering 16 steps, 2x8 steps, or Inverse Mute mode.
- Gate Sequencers (C4, B3, A4, A3):
- A gate is a continuous high signal whereas clock has a high & low state for every step.
- The clock can be standard (50% high / 50% low) or variable (Pulse Width) .
- The PW clock can be changed - eg 10% high/90%low or 30% high / 70% low.
- CV can be used to modulate pulse width
- Clock can be standard or variable (PW clock), or modulated with CV for creative sequencing.
In-Depth Look:
- C4-C1 Interaction:
- C4 acts as Gate expander 1.
- Features 3-position toggle switches.
- Leftmost yellow-capped toggle alternates between Gate/clk/PWM.clock.
- 16 toggles above encoders select output patterns: Up for a Yellow switch pattern, Middle off, and Bottom for a clock pattern.
- B3-B1 Interaction:
- B3, known as Gate expander 2, syncs with the B1 CV sequencer.
- Includes 2 output rows, selectable with the rightmost toggle.
- 16 toggles above the encoders determine the pattern for Row 1 (Up), off (Middle), or Row 2 (Bottom).
