Near mint example of the uncommon, early Roland analogue BBD chorus. Sounds great – very “sea sick” and wobbly at the max setting.

Product Description

PHOTOS ARE OF A PREVIOUS UNIT - current unit for sale is in near mint condition.

Roland DC-50 Chorus for sale. Serviced including power supply recap. Fully functional and supplied with our standard warranty.

The second one we've had recently but don't be deceived - these are definitely not common!

This 1970s Roland chorus box obviously shares some DNA with the Boss CE-1, however they are not that similar in terms of the circuit - for example the Boss uses MN3002 chips and this uses MN3001. It's a pretty simple beast - you can't vary the speed of the chorus or hall echo (short delay) so it's really just a case of plugging in and dialling in the intensity of effect required. See below for a useful comparison video between this and the chorus in an RE-301.

Voltage Information

100v Japanese model - it will run on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use. A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

Tax

For sales in UK the price will include 20% VAT. Buyers elsewhere may incur VAT or other local taxes on import.
