Product Description
Maxon HD 1501 Harmonics / Delay for sale - it seems the Ibanez HD 1500 was the export version. Working as it should.
RACK EARS? We may have a set for this in our stores - let us know if you need them!
At the time (1984) this was a pretty cutting-edge box to put your guitar through - real-time pitch shift, plus a delay that also gives chorus and flanging effects! See the info from the original catalogue (borrowed from the Ibanez archive here).
One notable feature is an effects loop that allows you to apply other effects to the effected signal (so add reverb etc).
Sonically, if pushed you can get some Eventide Harmonizer-type sounds from it, although nearly not as wild and full-on. Overall the sound is warm and distinctive - just what you want from early digital. And the ability to add modulation to the effects means you can create some pretty odd-ball sounds as the pitch changes.
