Product Description
This is one of several items we are selling on behalf of Ed O'Brien (Radiohead/EOB). All items will have provenance supplied after the sale, have been tested by us and are in full working order (many were originally serviced and supplied by us).
10% of the gross proceeds will be split between two humanitarian relief charities. More information below.
This Market Electronics (Maestro) Echoplex EP-2 was purchased from us several years ago and has been used by Ed in his studio since then. It is for sale working well after a check over from our techs.
A very rare chance to pick up a Soundgas serviced Echoplex - we stopped working on these a while ago as they have become extremely difficult to restore properly (due to the amount of time they can suck and the availability of original parts).
Please note that when run in countries with mains supply at 50Hz (like the UK/EU) as opposed to the 60Hz in North America, there is some hum from the motor – this is a physical hum rather than audio and does not affect the operation of the machine.

INFORMATION ABOUT CHARITY DONATIONS:
10% of sale price of all items in the auction will be split between two charities chosen by us and Ed: Safe Passage who have so far helped over 1800 child refugees coming into the UK from all over the world, and our friends at Ukraine Equestrian Relief (who we have supported previously), who drive convoys of horse transporters direct to refugee centres at the Poland Ukraine border delivering vital supplies of medicines, food and clothing.

The sound of a well-restored EP-2 is quite something: I sold my EP-3 and Fulltone TTE when I found a good EP-2 (though in fairness I wasn't gigging - the Fulltone is probably the better bet for a gigging musician).
