Korg Rhythm 55B drum machine for sale in excellent cosmetic condition, serviced and in great working order.
The more "jazz" version of the the iconic and generally superb KR-55, these are great drum machines - this version has 96 rhythm patterns which can then be tweaked by the swing parameter, plus intros and fills, opening up a huge variety of different rhythms. It features a trig out for analogue synths/sequncers. Sonically all-analogue and good and meaty.
And no - it's not all "jazz" stylings! It has a large range of different beats and styles, but including a selection of jazz rhythms not present on the 55.
It is in perfect working order - all pots move smoothly and noiselessly and all pots, switches and knobs function exactly as they should. (It is always possible with vintage equipment that crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used - even during shipping - this can usually be easily rectified either by a few turns or in extreme cases, with suitable switch-cleaning spray).
Condition is excellent - it has a few scuffs and dings to the casing and the Korg sticker on the top, but overall it presents very well for its age - click on the photos to zoom in and see more shots.
Price includes VAT at 20% (for sales in UK/EU) - buyers outside the EU please contact us for tax-free prices. VAT-free sales possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number.
It is a 100v Japanese model and will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.
A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.
We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”
