Product Description
Guyatone GA-1030 Reverb Combo valve amplifier for sale. It's a wonderful thing. So cheeky, but so well executed. This one even has the metal legs on the side that allow the amp to be angled upwards if required. These deliver 30 watts from a single 12" speaker and have a great reverb sound with just the right amount of slapback.
It's in beautiful condition but needs work before it can be used. As we don't have time for all these projects we are letting it go as it is.
It's important to note that this amp WILL be fully restorable. It just needs some time with someone who knows amps!
When it came to us the mains transformer was dead. We sourced a 220/240v replacement which has been fitted but that's as far as we've got. As you can see the amp is complete, however the transformer needs wiring in and then (and this is what stalled us) the amp needs re-biasing to accommodate the new transformer. This is not a small task and will require access to an experienced technician. We can't offer any guidance on the work required and it is possible may need other minor tweaks once it is running. However, the end result will be worth it as by all accounts these amps do a good job of capturing the 70s Fender tone as well as the look (for a fraction of the price!).
As the new transformer is 220/240v if you want to use this on 120v it will make sense to source another new transformer.
