Product Description

Guyatone FS-7 Rolly Queen for sale. First produced as the "Leslie Queen".

Beyond rare Japanese phaser/vibrato/tremolo - a first for us. In terms of the look/controls it seems to be a cross between a Maestro PS-1A and a Uni-vibe.

Sonically it is wonderful with a lovely tone and some more than passable Leslie effects. Hear it in the video demo below.

The name? We assume they had to change it and presumably "Rolly" is a reference to a rotary speaker...

Controls (from effectsdatabase):

  • Slow-Medium - controls the speed/rate of the LFO that controls the phaser when the slow/fast switch is in "slow" mode

  • Medium-Fast - controls the speed/rate of the LFO that controls the phaser when the slow/fast switch is in "fast" mode

  • Slow/Fast - switches between the speeds set by the slow and fast speed knobs

  • Phase/Vibrato (Leslietone/Vibrato) - switches between phaser and vibrato (vibe)

  • Deep/Shallow - controls the depth/amplitude of the modulation (the size of the range in which the effect sweeps).

Serviced and working well. List of the work done:

  • Changed mains cable, earthed chassis and installed a P clip.

  • Cleaned main power switch as well as the Phase/Vib and Deep/Shallow rocker switches.

  • Replaced 4 poly caps which had crystallised.

  • Soldered on missing ground cable.

  • Tightened Fast pot to chassis.

  • Replaced 4x power diodes.

Condition

Good with a patina across the metal work. See photos for more information.

Voltage Information

100v Japanese model - it will run on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use. A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

Tax

For sales in UK the price will include 20% VAT. Buyers elsewhere may incur VAT or other local taxes on import.
