Farfisa Syntorchestra
Farfisa Syntorchestra
Brand: Farfisa
Sorry it's gone. We may have another in stock or on the way. Please enquire below (or check our weekly Gear Update for incoming rarities).
Super rare Farfisa Syntorchestra for sale in excellent condition - one of the most iconic synths used in Krautrock - most prominently by Klaus Schulze and Cluster/Harmonia - but also by Vangelis, JM Jarre, etc.
Nothing else sounds or behaves quite like it - the layering of the mono and poly sounds is great - add some (ok, lots) of tape delay and you're in krautrock heaven.
There are two sections: strings (polyphonic), and mono preset synth voices. Pair the strings with a Schulte Compact Phasing phaser and you'll hit alpha centauri in no time. For a more minimal pastoral vibe, try some slow, hypnotic tinkling with the odd staccato piano through an analog delay. The kraut tricks and treats are endless with this bad boy... We have one in the studio and are not parting with it.
230v unit.

“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”

“Imagine the perfect eBay.... with everything you never knew you wanted… and you can rest assured that your vintage and rare wobbly sound device will turn up on time and in one piece and possibly in even better condition that when it left the workshop. Soundgas - literally amazing."
