Product Description

We're tape and disc echo specialists and always have a good selection of vintage echo machines. Check out our other listings for fully-serviced Binsons, Copicats, Echoplexes and Roland Space/Chorus Echoes.

As business sellers, we've sold many tape echoes in the past ten years; we understand how they should sound and function.

We guarantee that this machine will not disappoint.

Offered for sale here is this ESE Echomatic VI in good condition and excellent working order (see photos for full details).

It sounds amazing: the engineering and build quality on this machine are second to none. Designed and developed by Eric Snowball of ESE Music, the Echomatic was aimed to create the sounds and effects of the Binsons and Meazzis with great attention to detail and quality. There's no denying that he achieved his goal. I'd wanted to try one of these UK-designed and built machines for years, and when I finally got my hands on one I was far from disappointed. The aim had been to produce the ultimate tape delay; this is an exceptional-sounding machine that performs to the highest standard.

This machine is in good condition and has just had a full service - the head positions had previously been modified to replicate the Shadows' 'Wonderful Land' sound, but we found that this was causing severe levels of hum due to the proximity of one of the heads to the motor, so it has been put back to the original spacing.

Condition

Overall the machine is in very good condition, though there are some marks and scuffs to the outer casing - the matte black paintwork has been touched up on some edges and corners (see detailed photos).

Voltage Information

220/240v unit. A step-up transformer will be required for use on 110/120v supplies. Please ask if you need advice on what to use. We do not recommend using cheap, generic Chinese mains transformers.
