Product Description
EMS Synthi A for sale in excellent working order following a thorough overhaul and extensive testing (it's a tough job, but Tony forced himself to do it :) ).
Sonically and visually this is an early Mk1, but it has had some internal boards (that do not affect the tonality) replaced by early EMS Cornwall boards (see below for further info). Tony has tested this extensively and confirms it sounds just as he'd expect from an early Mk1: in fact he's still not handed it back and is feverishly recording with it before someone buys it. Demos of Tony's exploits with this Synthi are below.
New commission instruction: more info below from the technician who performed the servicing
This is a Mk1 Synthi with early EMS Cornwall replacement B and C boards. As the sound and character depends on board A and the matrix layout, this Synthi works and sounds as you'd expect from a Mk1.
Supplied with three EMS handbooks which contain essential and detailed information for the budding (or experienced) Synthi user: the VCS3 manual; The Synthi Book Of Sounds; The Synthi Educational Handbook.
