CBS Sony Neve (8078) 40-Channel Console

Stunning 40 channel Neve console for sale on completion of a thorough and no-expense-spared refurbishment.

Technically is not a Neve 8078. The 8078 was introduced to capitalise on the results they achieved building custom consoles like this one for CBS/Sony. The design/budget for these was off the scale; the Japanese over engineered brief included gold switches, massively over spec power supplies and was excessive even by late seventies standards. Between 3-5 consoles built for CBS/Sony exist and that they are reputedly the very finest Neves of all time. By comparison an 8078 is almost common (they built around 30) and what you bought if you weren’t a massive multimillion dollar Japanese conglomerate. ⠀

The centre section is being rebuilt to original spec (unless the buyer requests otherwise).
