Product Description
Boss DE-200 Digital Delay for sale.
Complete with rack ears.
These are cool and are definitely not common. At the time the low noise floor made them a great choice for a delay with modulation. They are 12 bit and have a wonderful "gloss" to the sound.
Obviously sharing design with the Micro Rack RDD-10, however what sets these apart are the added features. The Phase Invert function allows for more flanging effects, but this unit's real party tricks are connected to the Trigger In on the rear. Using this allows "rhythm sync" - so triggering the delay with a beat - and, if you use the Hold button to grab a sample, then you can trigger that.
Note that these seem to have been designed for a low signal input (guitar) and sometimes you will find adding a DI box will give more control over the gain structure and wet/dry balance. We just overload the hell out of ours though :)
The review of the DE-200 in Electronics & Music Maker Magazine (Feb 1984) is very informative.
