Gear Hire

This is our new gear hire service. It’s very much at the beta-testing stage and right now this page is pretty basic. There’s a gear list and the beginnings of an FAQ section below, but if anything isn’t clear then please ask. Obviously the focus is on vintage equipment, and at this stage it is primarily effects that are hard to find (or hard to own and keep working!), and old drum machines, because we have a lot, they travel well and are a great source of inspiration.

Right now we can only offer this to clients in mainland UK. Many of the items require delicate handling and hand delivery, so initially we will prioritise bespoke packages rather than hire individual pieces. What if something goes wrong?

We cannot offer full service/support/warranty during hire: if something fails mid-hire, we collect and refund any remaining fees – no further liability is accepted. The hirer guarantees to return the items in good order – any losses/damage are at the hirer’s risk. This is the only practical way we can attempt this at the present time.

Vintage gear hire is not an “exact science” – almost everything we are offering is the only one we have, and while it will be working when it leaves here, there is always a chance that it may develop an issue during transit or while in use. As note above, you won’t have to pay for anything that doesn’t’ work, however what we can’t do is emergency fixes. This is not (yet) a service for those who are building an entire ground-breaking album around one cantankerous, ancient piece of equipment…
