Yamaha CS-50 (ex-Adrian Utley)
Brand: Yamaha
Sorry it's gone. We may have another in stock or on the way. Please enquire below (or check our weekly Gear Update for incoming rarities).
From 4-voice little brother of the mighty CS-80, in excellent condition and working order.
From the studio of Adrian Utley (Portishead). It has been in his studio for years. Most recently it was used on this track: "Fool" by Perfume Genius: the whole middle section uses this synth, plus also Adrian's Minimoog (that also came from us!).
This synth has not been toured.
NOTE: this synth will take a few days to prepare for shipping. It needs tuning by our tech, plus booking it through a private courier can sometimes take some time (see below).
SHIPPING - please note: Shipping fees are an estimate, but it may not be cheap outside of the UK - please ignore shipping price quoted and get in touch for an accurate figure. (To give a rough idea we recently shipped one of these to Germany by private courier for around £300.)
CONDITION: This Yamaha CS-50 is for sale in excellent. It has just a few dings and scuffs on the front panel. There is a ding to the right of the keyboard beside the power switch, as shown in the photos. All slider tops etc are original. The wooden part of the case has some small dings and chips. The tolex case is in good condition with the usual minor signs of wear but nothing serious.
Complete with the detachable chrome legs.
Switchable voltage.
For sales in UK/EU the price will include VAT. VAT-free sales are possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number - please get in touch if you wish to buy this way.
Commission sale on behalf of a client. If you have gear that you want us to look at selling on your behalf then please look at our Commission & Consignment page for more information and get in touch to discuss your requirements.

"Excellent equipment, wonderful service. I fully recommend Soundgas to anyone in the vintage gear market and I will definitely be a return customer. The gear itself was exactly as advertised and in great condition."
DAVID WRENCH
“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”
TOM JOHNSTON
Fantastic. From initial contact to the product landing at my door the service provided was outstanding. Safe and secure shipping, quality serviced product.
MATTHEW HERBERT

JOSH LLOYD-WATSON & TOM MCFARLAND - JUNGLE
“Imagine the perfect eBay.... with everything you never knew you wanted… and you can rest assured that your vintage and rare wobbly sound device will turn up on time and in one piece and possibly in even better condition that when it left the workshop. Soundgas - literally amazing."
