Product Description
Tube Works RT-921 spring reverb for sale in full working order. It's a high quality 1U rack unit, designed by U.S. amp & pedal builder B.K. Butler (it's got his name on it!) and also known as the "Real Tube Reverb".
It's a solidly-built, quality piece of kit with great tone.
Service work included replacement of the output pots and one of the tanks. See below for some of the tech's report on this, and also the replacement power supply.
"Both the output level pots replaced. One of the tanks had a very low output. New tank fitted. This is the correct spec, but as it is new it doesn’t sound exactly like the remaining original one, mainly in decay time, which is slightly longer. I don’t think this will be a major issue, in fact it gives a subtle stereo movement in the reverb tails which is quite pleasing."
POWER SUPPLY: "PSU built with correct spec but valve heater supply was not even slightly enough to make the valves work properly so this needed modifying. Either the official power supply was very different to spec or someone has perhaps modified this unit to work with a higher voltage supply. It works properly now. This unit should only be used with the custom power supply provided."
