See the full Sound Workshop 262 manual here on Preservation Sound's site. From that manual:
The 262 features extended high and low frequency response and a fullness previously associated with systems of substantially higher cost. IN addition, its equalizer section permits continuously variable frequency selection in both the high and low frequency bands. These sweepable EQ cicuits feature a fixed bandwidth, opitimised for proper contouring of the reverberant signal, and a plus and minus 15db range.
Features include:
- BTA (balanced transformerless amplifier) input circuitry
- wide range LED metering for optimum gain staging
- input mix for maximum flexibility without external patching
- complete output mixing facilities provide full control of dry/reverberant ratio (useful in broadcast and "disco" applications)
- two band sweepable EQ on each channel
- full drive level into 600 Ohms
- optimised biFET preamps for low noise performance
- superior spring design yields incredibly smooth response and freedom from flutter
- maximum isolation from acoustic coupling to the environment

“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”
