Selmer Bassmaster Fifty
Selmer Bassmaster Fifty
Brand: Selmer
Sorry it's gone. We may have another in stock or on the way. Please enquire below (or check our weekly Gear Update for incoming rarities).
The Bassmaster was the first version of the Treble and Bass 50, appearing in the 1963 Selmer catalogue and much rarer as it was only made in that year.
Selmer Truvoice Bassmaster 50 Serial Number 16442
Crocodile skin cabinet in original state and very good condition. Non-original back screws. Fully working amplifier but with replaced caps and mains transformer as with many of these amps. Original caps preserved on top of the amp chassis. Output transformer is original. Would appear to be an early model with 4 x ECC83 valves. Serial No 16442. (The Selmer website gives 16723 as 1964).
Recently serviced and revalved. Excellent sound.
Original Bulgin Mains plug is still in the chassis, but mains lead hard wired in to meet UK regs.
This amp is part of a superb collection of early British valve amps that we are selling on consignment for a customer. He has been collecting amps for over 30 years and the above description was written by him. Click on the photos to zoom in and see many more detailed and internal shots.
Note that as they are part of a large collection which has been in storage there may be a delay in shipping if a fault is discovered in the final testing (this is not uncommon with amps that have been sat on the shelf). In the event that this happens the amp will be sent to our tech for work and we will keep you updated. If you need further information please get in touch.

"Excellent equipment, wonderful service. I fully recommend Soundgas to anyone in the vintage gear market and I will definitely be a return customer. The gear itself was exactly as advertised and in great condition."
DAVID WRENCH
“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”
TOM JOHNSTON

“Imagine the perfect eBay.... with everything you never knew you wanted… and you can rest assured that your vintage and rare wobbly sound device will turn up on time and in one piece and possibly in even better condition that when it left the workshop. Soundgas - literally amazing."
