A stunning example of the most iconic drum machine of all time.
In perfect working order - fully serviced and tested for us by James Walker at Synth Repair Services. The buttons and contacts were replaced, all pots and sockets cleaned and batteries changed.
Price includes VAT at 20% (for sales in UK/EU) - buyers outside the EU please contact us for tax-free price of £2650. VAT-free sales possible to businesses and individuals in the EU with a valid VAT Number.
The condition is truly superb - this machine has spent its life under the clear plastic protective cover from new (still present - Japanese version). It has just a few scuffs and signs of age on the edges and side panels; the main panel is almost spotless with just minor marks that don't even show in the photos. The only obvious sign that this has not spent its life in a box is the discolouration of the Start/Tap buttons. It is becoming harder to find clean 808s and this one is absolutely stunning. This is an investment that you can enjoy...
We have sold many excellent 808s to satisfied customers so you can buy with confidence.
- It is a 100v Japanese model and will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.
- A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.
- We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

"Excellent equipment, wonderful service. I fully recommend Soundgas to anyone in the vintage gear market and I will definitely be a return customer. The gear itself was exactly as advertised and in great condition."
DAVID WRENCH
“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”
TOM JOHNSTON

“Imagine the perfect eBay.... with everything you never knew you wanted… and you can rest assured that your vintage and rare wobbly sound device will turn up on time and in one piece and possibly in even better condition that when it left the workshop. Soundgas - literally amazing."
