Roland SPV-355 P/V Synth - Boxed
Roland SPV-355 P/V Synth - Boxed
Brand: Roland
Sorry it's gone. We may have another in stock or on the way. Please enquire below (or check our weekly Gear Update for incoming rarities).
A Roland SPV-355 P/V Pitch-to-voltage unit for sale in near mint condition.
These legendary pieces of early 80s, high quality Roland Rack gear are rare enough anyway, and this one comes from the studio of Mike Hedges who has kept it in superb condition. He used "a bank" of these when working on early Cure albums - Roland gave him and the band a number of Roland Rack units. Though the box for this is pretty tatty the unit inside does not appear to have ever been used. It is has no significant marks or any signs of use and comes with the original foot switch and a Roland jack lead still in their original packaging - see the detailed photos for more information.
Please note that this item will be available to ship once we have had it checked over by James Walker of Synth Repair Services. It is very unlikely to need any service work however it may need tuning/calibrating. We expect it to be ready to ship by the second week of May, if not before.
The internet can fill you in on anything you need to know about these superb pieces of kit – although if you're looking at this then you probably have a pretty good idea of what they can do. But if you want a good tip then this extended version of Chris “Throbbing Gristle” Carter's 2001 Sound on Sound article on the SPV-355 is a great resource with some very useful tips on how to push them far beyond what they were originally designed to do.
240v model with a UK plug.

“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”
