Roland RE-201 Space Echo - Early Preamps

It will also have a new silver tape change sticker added and new English instructions fitted in the lid.

We've taken an exceptional, clean later Space Echo and fitted the early preamp board. These machines sound particularly sweet, especially with guitar - both preamp and reverb sound are different with these. This is the same spec as the one that Dan and Mick went so crazy over on That Pedal Show – they now have one of our machines for their studio.

A great example of the mighty Space Echo, for sale serviced and in excellent working order. Sounding great and running very well following a full service by our tape echo specialists with new parts fitted as required.

REPLACEMENT TAPES: We've written a bit about our journeys in tape, which replacement loops to use in your Roland echo (not to mention the misinformation and poor quality tapes that seem to fill the internet). We don't have tape stock currently, but you can buy tried and tested replacement Roland tape loops from Echo Fix. These are the only tapes we recommend. We may also have a very limited supply of sealed original NOS RT1-L tapes - see our store or get in touch.

There are currently no operational issues with this machine, but please be aware that these units require looking after and that regular use and maintenance are key to keeping this in good working order.

Some crackle is always possible from pots/switches when not used for a while - this can be cleared with use.

Condition

In good cosmetic condition with wear to the controls around the power switch and some oxidation patches under the paintwork. The tolex is very clean. Internally, this unit is very good with only minor oxidation to the metal areas and chromed surfaces. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.

Voltage Information

The voltage of this unit will be set up to your requirements with a new transformer fitted - either 120v or 240v. This means that the unit will ship within 10 days of purchase (please ask if you need it sooner and we will do our best!).
