Roland RE-201 Space Echo - Early Preamps

This unit has the early preamps that sound particularly sweet, especially with guitar - both preamp and reverb sound are different with these. This is the same spec as the one that Dan and Mick went so crazy over on That Pedal Show – they now have one of our machines for their studio.

A great example of the mighty Space Echo, for sale serviced and in excellent working order. Sounding great and running very well following a full service by our tape echo specialists with new parts fitted as required.

REPLACEMENT TAPES: Limited stocks of our replacement loops are available now. Fitting any tapes other than those from us or Echo Fix will invalidate the warranty on our machines. We have sourced unused and dry-stored tape stock which is as close to original RT-1L tape formulation as possible (without conclusive confirmation from Roland themselves we cannot describe it as being an exact match). We’ve written a bit about our journeys in tape, which replacement loops to use in your Roland echo, not to mention the misinformation and poor quality tapes that seem to fill the internet. We may also have a very limited supply of sealed original NOS RT1-L tapes – see our store or get in touch.

There are currently no operational issues with this machine, but please be aware that these units require looking after and that regular use and maintenance are key to keeping this in good working order.

Some crackle is always possible from pots/switches when not used for a while - this can be cleared with use.

Condition

In excellent cosmetic condition with some wear to the face. The knobs are clean but have some oxidation around the edges. The case is excellent with only minor signs of age. Internally, this unit is very clean with minor oxidation spots to the chromed surface and metal areas. Please see photos or get in touch if you require more information on condition.

Voltage Information

The voltage of this unit will be set up to your requirements with a new transformer fitted - either 120v or 240v. This means that the unit will ship within 10 days of purchase (please ask if you need it sooner and we will do our best!).

For sales in UK/EU the price will include 20% VAT. If you have an EU VAT number (outside the UK) you can enter it at check out to have VAT removed.
