Rexer Tape Echo RTE-3000
Rexer Tape Echo RTE-3000
Brand: Rexer
Sorry it's gone. We may have another in stock or on the way. Please enquire below (or check our weekly Gear Update for incoming rarities).
An uncommon Japanese Space Echo clone. Great-sounding "stereo" output - doubtless something phase-related although we've not had much time to fully investigate it.
In excellent working order after a service from our tape tech. New tape fitted. This machine is definitely one of the better Space Echo "clones" - it has a good sound all of its own though. Well worth looking at if you want something cheaper and/or different to an RE-201.
Note that this unit has an automatic stop and start function on the tape motor (when there is no signal the tape stops). This does not have the option to switch it off, however we have tweaked the machine to leave the tape running for as long as possible to allow the tails of echoes to die away. There can be a faint click when the motor switches on (but you won't hear this if the signal passing through is at a reasonable volume).
In excellent cosmetic condition - minor marks to the casing.
Covered by our usual guarantee of your sonic satisfaction.
For sales in UK/EU the price will include VAT. VAT-free sales are possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number - please get in touch if you wish to buy this way.
- It is a 100v Japanese model and will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.
- A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.
- Note that if you are using a transformer with this then the output you need will depend on whether or not you intend to use the internal amp. Please ask if you need information about what spec is required.
- We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”
