RAMSA ECHO MACHINE WZ-9350A
Rare (the first one we've ever seen) and ridiculously well made, this is a RAMSA Echo Machine for sale in very good condition and working order.
Pro-audio BBD echo; serviced and also modified so it will self-oscillate and for 240v operation.
A RAMSA Echo Machine WZ-9350A (to give it its full name), these were launched in Japan in 1979 by Panasonic as part of their professional audio range. Not sure how many were made but the build quality and specification are exceptional. We had to look inside to find out how it was put together: what you have is transformer-balanced inputs and outputs and three Panasonic BBD chips giving a max of about 240mS – this means they are clocked fast to give better bandwidth and less noise. In practice what this means is that yes: the delay times are no as long as many machines, but the sound quality of the output is superb and very clean; almost digital in fact.
The case is also heavy duty and in good condition – it has some signs of wear and a few marks, and also a slight bend in the rear, right hand side of the casing – see the detailed photos for more information.
