Studio Electronics Obie Rack for sale on behalf of the owner in superb condition and excellent working order.
This uncommon unit is an original pair of Oberheim SEM modules (boards dating from 1978) racked with midi and other modifications to make it a superbly flexible and compact TVS.
The extra MIDI modifications are dynamics of the VCA/VCF, modulation of VCO /VCF and aftertouch on VCO/VCF.
Top front panel controls include three way switchable octave range, multi-trigger, Midi channel, pitch bend, DVCF, LFO, glide and volume. An added switch on the lower part of the panel selects between Midi Poly 1, Poly 2 or Mono allowing two notes to be played at once (though up to four notes are possible depending on the VCO settings).
Rear panel connections are for Midi in, out and thru, IEC power socket and power switch and a pair of unbalanced audio mono outs (one for each module).
