Musitronics Mu-Tron Bi-Phase
Musitronics Mu-Tron Bi-Phase
Brand: Musitronics
Sorry it's gone. We may have another in stock or on the way. Please enquire below (or check our weekly Gear Update for incoming rarities).
Serviced, calibrated, converted to 240v and in full working order - sounds superb.
You're going to need a bigger pedal board for this one…
Soundgas present one of the greatest (and biggest) effects pedals ever made - this Mu-tron Bi-Phase is for sale in good condition and perfect working order.
Freshly-serviced/calibrated and converted to run at 240v - this one sounds stunning.
The condition is very good with a few signs of wear. There are some scratches, scrapes and dings to the case and knobs, but overall it presents very well. See photos for more detail.
The original footswitch is not present but it's been modified with an extra 1/4" jack socket and comes with a twin Marshall switch to select phasor channels A and B.
We love Bi-Phases and we're not alone: not only are they a staple effect of many dub reggae producers (Lee Perry most notably), but they're widely-used with guitars/synths/keys etc in a wide variety of genres. A truly legendary effect.
It's a USA 110v model but has been converted to 240v for UK/EU use.
We have several other Musitronics pedals, including a Mu-tron III, Phasor, Phasor II and Octave Divider - see all our Mu-tron listings here
As used by the Smashing Pumpkins on Siamese Dream:
"This is one of the secrets to our secret sound. This is the Mutron Biphase. We run everything through it - everything. It's fabulous" - Butch Vig
And of course, Lee Perry and many dub/reggae artists that have followed - hi-hats, guitars, keys all sound 'proper' through a Bi-Phase
For sales in UK/EU the price will include VAT. VAT-free sales are possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number - please get in touch if you wish to buy this way.

“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”
