Maestro USS-1 Universal Synthesizer System

Maestro USS-1 Universal Synthesizer System for sale (yes, we have had two in succession! Both were languishing on our "project" shelf for some time...).

Great with guitar and synth, but also (as can be heard below) capable of destroying beats if you find the sweet spots in the settings.

Essentially this is several of the legendary effects that Tom Oberheim designed for Maestro, all in one beautiful, super-sized unit (the scale may not be obvious from the pictures but it's about 55cm long - the buttons are the same ones as one the classic Maestro PS-1A phaser).

Serviced and in excellent working order. The sliders on these can become very sticky, but these are now working well. Fully tested by us - because it's just so good and begs to be played with - put a beat, guitar or keys through it and then just start experimenting, stacking the effects and cracking a big smile...

These units are rare and not well known, but as soon as we got our first one and heard it we had to track down another so we could keep one for the studio.

From left to right the effects are:

• Sub-harmonic


• And there is also a sensitivity control that affects the envelope and sub-harmonic

Condition

In excellent cosmetic condition with some scuffing around the edges of the case. Note that the slider tops are replacements. The face is very clean with only minor signs of wear or age. Please see photos or get in touch if you require more information on condition.

Voltage Information

117/120v model. A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.
