Just back from spending some quality time with our experienced tape echo tech, this particular EP-2 sounds absolutely fabulous. The cartridge has been replaced with a new Fulltone ETC-1 cart so it's good to go. The sound of a well-restored EP-2 is quite something: I sold my EP-3 and Fulltone TTE when I found a good EP-2 (though in fairness I wasn't gigging - the Fulltone is probably the better bet for a gigging musician).
Condition is very good given its age – signs of wear but nothing horrendous – see the photos to assess for yourself. Missing the metal tape cover, but this doesn't affect the performance.
It's a 110v US model – will require a step-down transformer for use in the UK/EU. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made transformer if required.
Please note that when run in countries with mains supply at 50Hz (like the UK/EU) as opposed to the 60Hz in North America, there is some hum from the motor – this is a physical hum rather than audio and does not affect the operation of the machine.
Price includes VAT at 20% (for sales in UK/EU) - buyers outside the EU please contact us for tax-free prices. VAT-free sales possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number.
