Rare and excellent tape echo with Sound On Sound and CV Control. One of favourite tape echoes for sure.

The Korg Stage Echoes aren't as well-known as the Roland Space Echo, but the quality is every bit as good and they are up there with our favourite tape delays for both sound and functionality. The SE-500 in particular is an uncommon and extremely interesting piece of equipement. They don't come round very often so if you are interested in this don't hang around.

We've been tape and disc echo fanatics for years and specialise in selling interesting vintage echoes. We've sold many tape echoes in the past ten years; we understand how they should sound and function. We guarantee that this machine will not disappoint.

For sale in excellent working order. Back from a full service by our highly experienced tape echo tech, followed by soak-testing by us.

Condition is excellent: the tolex has some minor scuffs and signs of age but no major battle scars and the face is clean. The inner surfaces have minor signs of age only. The heads are in good condition.

For sales in UK/EU the price will include VAT. VAT-free sales are possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number - please get in touch if you wish to buy this way.

  • 100v Japanese model. It will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.
  • A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.
  • We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

(Please note: it is always possible with vintage equipment that some crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used - even during shipping - this can usually be easily rectified either by use or judicious application of suitable switch-cleaning spray).
