IBANEZ AD-190 TIME MACHINE - Modified

Offered for sale is this rare Ibanez AD-190 in good cosmetic condition and excellent working order.

These don't come up for sale very often, and having spent a long time tracking one down, it wasn't hard to understand why. Ibanez made some of the best BBD echo pedals and delay units back in the late seventies and early eighties - a combination of low noise floor (for analogue delays) and a great sonic texture makes them very sought-after today.

The AD190 is a great analogue delay/flanger in standard form, but this custom-modified version takes things to another level. You can still use it as intended, but in addition it is capable of some amazing and otherwise hard to replicate effects. It's been modified to allow modulation of the delay using the 'flanger only' Width and Speed controls, together with the delay Regeneration and Time controls. The results are unusual and possibly sonically unique - we've not come across another analogue unit that can do this...

It has a few scuffs and scratches and rust marks to case but is in good order for a unit that's around 30 years old (see photos below).

There are no known operational faults with this unit, modifications aside...

(Please note: it is always possible with vintage equipment that some crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used - even during shipping - this can usually be easily rectified either by use or judicious application of suitable switch-cleaning spray).

It is a UK 240v unit - buyers from USA/Canada and countries with a 110v mains supply will require a step-up transformer. For overseas countries with 240v power, the UK plug will be removed prior to shipping unlesss otherwise requested.
