Sorry it's gone. We may have another in stock or on the way. Please enquire below (or check our weekly Gear Update for incoming rarities).

See below for a quick demo of the actual unit for sale. Another great vintage Japanese spring reverb - serviced and in great working order. We've had a few of these now and this model gives some particularly nice distortion when overdriven with beats or guitar.

Dating from the 70s or early 80s, the HR-202 Echo Unit could be approximately described as being a single input channel version of the Hawk HR-45. There are separate input controls for Echo and Normal for both Mic and Line inputs, Echo Level pot and Phase switch, as well as Master Output - all of this gives some useful flexibility (hear some of that in the demo below). Quarter inch input sockets for Mic and Line are on the front panel with stereo inputs/outputs on the rear via RCA phonos.

Overdriving the Mic input with guitar yields a meatier distortion than the HR-45 - this one really snarls and growls. Yet another flavour for the sound palette: I could justify keeping this one and the 45…

We've really got into these Hawk units – read all about them in our Hawk/Mirano tape echo and spring reverb blog post.

Condition is good with some dings to the edge of the face and to the veneer on the ends but nothing major. Also the VU meter light is not working. See the photos for more details.

Price includes VAT at 20% (for sales in UK/EU) - buyers outside the EU please contact us for tax-free prices. VAT-free sales possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number.

100v Japanese model – it will work fine on North American mains without a transformer. Please ask us if you have any questions. A step-down transformer can be used in the UK/EU. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made transformer if required.
