Guyatone VA-55
Four-channel valve (tube) mixer amp with a built in spring reverb (in theory - see below).
Part-serviced clearance item for repair or parts.
THE GOOD NEWS:
- Powers up and runs OK on 100 or 120v (it's a Japanese 100v unit).
- Has a full set of valves in it.
- Passes signal via channels 1, 2 and 4 via Line Out.
- Tone & volume controls work with minimal crackle.
- Sounds pretty good if driven.
THE BAD NEWS:
- Bit of hum.
- Channel 3 does not pass signal.
- Reverb doesn't work.
- Echo send works but return doesn't seem to.
- Power light is missing
- 4 ohm speaker out socket is missing.
Important note: this is a clearance item at a reduced price. It's been worked on in the past, but since then we've not had time to finish the work. We've listed the major flaws from a quick test and you should assume that it generally needs work to make it function as it should.
European buyers have the standard 14 days right of return with this item, however there is no further warranty.
