Lovely early/mid1970s Telecaster from the company that became Fender Japan. Has had a full set-up inc new strings by Dean at Bedford Guitars. Plays very well and sounds great.
In excellent condition for its age and playing very well, this fab 70s Japanese Tele is a fraction of the cost of a 70s USA Fender. Inevitably there's a few scuffs, dings and scratches, and some oxidation to the metal parts, but overall it's in good condition for its age.
It's no secret that during the seventies some of the good Japanese factories were capable of building better Fenders than Fender in America - which lead to the formation of Fender Japan. A good example of a vintage Japanese Tele.
Condition Report:
Head is in good condition, with some small chips to the finish scattered across the front and back. Neck looks good with a bit of wear on the fretboard towards the lower end of the neck. There are numerous dings and scratches along the back side of the neck. The body is in good condition with more of the same chips and scratches showing up. See photos for more details. The metal parts of the guitar show some oxidation and the tuning pegs are a little stiff - doubtless from lack of use.
