Fostex 3180 2-Channel Reverb
Fostex 3180 2-Channel Reverb
Brand: Fostex
Sorry it's gone. We may have another in stock or on the way. Please enquire below (or check our weekly Gear Update for incoming rarities).
Fine-sounding good quality stereo/two-channel spring reverb unit from Fostex for sale in great condition and full working order. We love the sound of this rarely-seen unit which overdrives well.
Great spring reverb sound - fared very well in our testing for Tony's Premier Guitar "Lords of the Springs" article. Will also give some useful overdriven distortion; not as full-bodied/gnarly as the Hawk units. Inputs can be mixed to allow mono signal in to drive both tanks.
Guitar demo of another of these we did for that article (beats demo below):
Serviced and working well.
CONDITION: Very good. Just minor dings and scratches - mostly wear to the edge of the face. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.
VOLTAGE:
- 100v Japanese model - it will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.
- A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.
- We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.
For sales in UK/EU the price will include VAT. VAT-free sales are possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number - please get in touch if you wish to buy this way.
This unit for sale appears briefly in this compilation of recent test bench eruptions:

“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”
