Fenton-Weill Dualmaster Compact
Stunning and uncommon early 60s British valve (tube) amp for sale serviced and in superb working order and excellent cosmetic condition.
Similar to the later Fenton-Weill Cadet and the first series Selmer Futurama Corvette (which was designed for Selmer by Henry Weill).
Fitted with an 8" speaker and simple single volume, tone and tremolo speed and depth controls.
The condition is clean with general signs of age as you would expect but no serious marks or damage except for the obvious tear in the grille cloth. See the detailed photos for more information.
The valves are three Mullards and one Russian replacement.
Our tech has been over this amp, replacing failing components with period-correct NOS parts and it is now up to spec and sounding great: he was raving about just how good this one sounds, and we have to agree.
Size of cabinet: 17" wide x 13.5" high x 7.5" deep.
Sleeper amp for sale. The snappily-titled Fenton Weill Dual Master Compact is the predecessor to the Cadet (a mini tone monster as used for the solo on Maggie May). This is the only example we've ever seen and is in excellent order. One of those lovely finds that ooze tone at sensible levels - mic it up and it's jaw-droppingly good - especially when given a little extra shove by a good boost pedal like the @cloudshillmusic #laut . Guitar is a stock early 90s US Fender Strat.
