Eventide Harmonizer Model H949
Eventide Harmonizer Model H949
Brand: Eventide
Sorry it's gone. We may have another in stock or on the way. Please enquire below (or check our weekly Gear Update for incoming rarities).
Last year these became one of our new favourite things. We're really loving what these high quality, late 70s units do to even the simplest of sounds. Early digital gear is in a class all of its own and we are hooked.
See below for a quick Instagram demo when the synth tech put one through its paces while it was being serviced. It takes a simple beat from an old analogue drum machine and fires it into the space age. 40 years old and it still sounds like it has come from the future. And yes, Tony did immediately buy another so we could keep one in the studio.
If you want a good, concise run-down of what it does then this Eventide Harmonizer H949 page on Vintage Digital is a place to start. You can also find links to the manuals there.
This unit has been fully serviced and set up - our engineer has plenty of experience with these machines and we have sold a number to satisfied customers; you can buy with confidence. It has some minor squeak to one of the feedback knobs but this is mechanical and is not a sign of age and nor does it affect the sound or functioning of the unit.
In exceptional condition for one of these units with only minor signs of age/wear. It has some minor rack rash and wear to the edge of the face and one rack ear has been bent slightly but that is it. Even the buttons are not showing the usual yellowing.
For sales in UK/EU the price will include VAT. VAT-free sales are possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number - please get in touch if you wish to buy this way.
And here is the demo of another H949 we had through shredding the beat from a 70s Teisco R-3A Rhythmer drum machine:

“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”
