A rare chance to obtain an ex-BBC EMT 950 turntable in working order.
If you are looking at this then you probably know about these monster pieces of equipment. Weighing in at 70kg and costing the equivalent of over £40000 back around 1980-81 they became the industry standard for many broadcasters in Europe until the arrival of the CD made some of their advanced features obsolete. This one was the variant they made for the BBC - an EMT 9 950 347 to give it its full title.
For more information on these head to EMT enthusiast (understatement) Stefano Pasini's site.

“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”
