Product Description
A rare chance to pick up an early example of this legendary instrument. Preliminary conclusions from our inspection is that it is original inside and out. It has an unusual heat sink at the top of the boards, but this is an early modification and may even be factory. It's also notable that it is badged "VCS3a" on the serial plate: hence James describing it as 'late/early'!
This price is for it to be supplied serviced in full working order and with warranty. If the buyer wishes to take it in original condition for their own tech to service, we can offer a discount but no warranty.
Condition
Has substantial wear commensurate with a long and productive life making music, but all printing is legible. We would not wish to restore the face - this is a living, breathing historic instrument (others may feel differently - we leave it to the next owner to decide). We've given it a careful, gentle clean. The bent joystick will be straightened. Woodwork is very good - has a few dings and marks, and there is one hairline crack on the left side which will be sympathetically repaired. See the photos or get in touch for more information.
Voltage Information
Switchable voltage for use anywhere in the world - it will be set up ready for you to use before we ship.
Tax
For sales in UK the price will include 20% VAT. Buyers elsewhere may incur VAT or other local taxes on import.

DAVID WRENCH
“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”

“Imagine the perfect eBay.... with everything you never knew you wanted… and you can rest assured that your vintage and rare wobbly sound device will turn up on time and in one piece and possibly in even better condition that when it left the workshop. Soundgas - literally amazing."
