EMS Synthi AKS for sale.

The current owner has just got it back from service at EMS Cornwall, so this is a chance to pick on of these truly inspiring instruments up in excellent order. See photos for a copy of the work report.

Note that we will test this prior to shipping to the buyer. However, we take the view that servicing on these units should be sympathetic – recapping where necessary, but also keeping as many original parts in the audio path to retain character, even if it results in occasional minor flaws. We’ve seen some restored to the point where they become a little too predictable, which in our view is not why you want a Synthi.

These synths should be used regularly for best performance – just like a classic car or bike needs a run out to stay in good shape.

Condition

In excellent overall condition, the face is very clean with only very minor wear and the KS/case are in good order. The keyboard section has been repaired by EMS with a metal strip as shown in the photos. Please see photos or get in touch if you require more information on condition.
