Product Description
Carlsbro Mantis analogue delay for sale.
Is this the finest delay ever produced in the Midlands (that's the middle of the UK for all our overseas visitors)? The HH Slider actually holds that crown, but if we're talking 1970s BBD chip delays then the Mantis is the one: it was pretty groundbreaking, and it still sounds wild today.
Not only does it have the ability to engage each of the four delay taps separately, but they also added the unique Rotafaze setting which adds modulation (an effect somewhere between a rotary speaker simulation, and a recreation of wow and flutter of the tape echoes it was simulating).
Four buttons control delay time and four buttons are for Swell which is number of repeats. Will go into wild oscillation if you push the Swell fader up.
Studio ready with a wet-only out.
The footswitch is just a simple on/off, however as far as we know Carlsbro only made it for this unit, so it's even rarer than the Mantis itself!
