Canopus Alan L Akaka Model 6-String Lap Steel for sale.

Canopus don't seem to be around any more but their lap steels were very well made and found favour with one of the great exponents of the instrument: Hawaiian musician Alan Akaka. We've not found any videos of him playing this model however he seemed to use a "Stringmaster" style double necked Canopus for lots of live performances (which is what led to this endorsement we guess).

A very solidly built instrument with a lovely tone.
