Created by the clever Boss engineers using the long chips found in the Roland SDE-3000 rack delay and shoehorned into a tiny Boss enclosure, what you're getting here is a high quality early digital rack delay in pedal form.
The convenience may be why you come to this unit, but the sound is what makes you stay. I've been using these - and 'long chip' DD-3s (same pedal, different name - not all DD-3s have long chips though!) - for many years and will never tire of the sound, which is just 'right'.
