Product Description
From the owner:
The C61 was one of the last tube mics manufactured by AKG before the transistors took over. They were only made for a few years in the late 1960s and are consequently very scarce. Similar to its cousin the C60, but using a Nuvistor tube instead of the AC701.
Detailed tone with musical sounding amplifier. Tight lows, sweet mids with an open top end. More forgiving sound than the readily available 451 version. Very nice choice for hi-hat, overheads, acoustic guitars, most stringed instruments and piano.
This package includes both the CK1 cardioid capsules as well as likely NOS omni capsules (see photos).
Also includes brand new cabling, a fresh dual peak power supply, vintage mic box, clips and zipper pouch.
